Hello beach waves. It’s still summer, and even if it wasn’t this trend would still be hot. Plus a lot of celebs love it, such as Beyonce, Ashley Tisdale, Katy Perry, Blake Lively, Lea Michele, and Jessica Alba. The list goes on and on.
For those of you who aren’t quite sure what I mean by chambray, let me tell ya. It’s basically denim lighter in texture and usually is in reference to a top.
How to Wear
It’s a pretty all-American staple and can be tucked in, buttoned, tied, or even worn as a topper. I like to keep my chambray in my car so I can easily whip it on as I walk into the grocery store (it’s always freezing in there!). The possibilities with this staple are seriously endless.

Wouldn’t it be nice if some of Hollywood’s best dressed lent their expertise to us on a daily basis? In a dream world I would open an iPhone app every morning to fashion blogs personally written by some of my favorite dressed celebrities. Beyonce’s blog wets our palette for celeb style, and here are five more we’d like to see more fashion from.
From edgy , classic , everyday and crazy I’d pick my mood and read my blog. Yes, in a perfect world everyday would be a fashion show and it would be easy to know what exactly was going through the mind of my favorite celeb when they stepped out of the house. Since this is probably a far off dream, let’s pretend! Here are some of my dream bloggers.
1.Lauren Conrad: Lauren Conrad is one of my favorite designers. Making fashion look effortless I absolutely love her desire for floral print. She gives off a old fashion glam look while still looking up to date and lovely. She may have a beauty blog (TheBeautyDeptartment.com) and blog on LaurenConrad.com, but I want to see her style daily… and maybe copy it.
2. Katy Perry. Feeling crazy? Then rock the blue hair and dramatic lashes! Katy Perry teaches us that you’re never too old to have fun with fashion. You can make a statement every day; don’t be afraid to take a risk.
3. Blake Lively is always on top of new trends. As fashionable as the character she plays on tv, she looks chic in every day clothes and in formal wear. Known for a sleek and stylish look Blake always rocks top designer looks. Get her look!
Put your best foot forward with this adorable and versatile fall-footwear option. Ankle booties are the perfect shoe for transitioning seasons. These chic shoes play double-duty, looking perfect with shorts and dresses, to skinny jeans and dark tights. If you do decide to wear tights with ankle booties, make sure they’re the same hue as your shoes so you create a sleek, elongated look.
With bold patterns and vibrant colors, pairing these eye-catching shoes can be tricky. If you’re looking to get the most out of your purchase look for fabrics like patent leather or suede. With these fabrics it’s easy to switch from day to night and can easily up the style factor when paired with traditional jeans and a tee shirt. For a fall-fashion investment, ankle booties are the way to go. They can quickly turn into your go-to shoe of any season. Stars Lea Michele and Blake Lively have been spotted on the red carpet worshipping this trend.

Feather earrings have been all over lately, and I’m sure you’ve seen some stylish ladies sporting feathered headbands. But that’s not where it ends. This trend is really taking flight and now you wear feathers anywhere, even as hair extensions … yeah, hair extensions. This new fad is a favorite among celebs like Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Blake Lively, but now you can rock feathers – whether in you hair, on a ring, or around your neck – on a skinny budget.
First up, the Necklace.
This necklace is so beautiful, but it’s almost $40.00 from Express. There are two ways around this price problemo. A coupon -click here – but, you’ll have to spend more to save. Or, the much much better alternative is to hit up your local H&M. I found a nearly identical necklace for under $8.00!! Hurry, I got the last one right off the mannequin in the bronze with pink feathers. My store still has the silver with black feathers left.

Nicole Richie is a style icon and this ring from her line House of Harlow isn’t unattainable.
Tag: House of Harlow 1960 Feather Row Ring in Gold, $31.00 at Singer22.
Take Note: only is size 7 or 8. Need a size 6? Charm and Chain has it for a buck more. It’s 14 k gold plated and so pretty!
If earrings are what you want then check out this recent post.
And now, for the hair extensions! This can be costly and few salons do this, at least around where I live (Philly). It’s a trend from the West Coast, but that doesn’t mean you need a house in the Hollywood Hills to get some feather extensions.
Here are the links to two different kits one is $10.00 at Mia and the other is $22.00 at HairFlairs.com. Take your pick, but the latter choice is by the same company that made tinsel extensions Beyoncé to wear at last year’s Grammy Awards.
