How to wear a vest in the summer
Dare to Wear, Fashion

{ Dare To Wear } Flamingo Pink

Tis the season for bright colors. I can’t believe we’re already about halfway through summer (bummer!). So I’m making sure to wear my warm-weather finds from this season as well as favorites from year’s past, all while making time to enjoy the nice weather. Even if it’s just for a coffee run, (or in my case, Iced Chai Tea Latte — so addicting!) it’s nice to just get outside and feel the sun on your skin. A bright hue can also brighten your mood, I know it does for me.

{ Style Tips }

1. Balance your body in a flowing outfit by adding a vest.  It will bring things in and keep your billowy pieces from overwhelming your frame.

2. A little color goes a long way.  This outfit may feel bright, and that’s thanks to the top, turquoise bangle, and blue nails. Don’t be afraid to wear more than one bright hue.

3. Skip the heavy blush and wear a pink top to brighten you up. It has a way of  complementing the complection.

{ Five Things Wellness } Iced Tea Cocktails To Cool You Down

Okay, I know I can’t complain much, but this July heat is absolutely unbearable. I’ve been really excited for these warmer months and now that they’re here, it’s getting a little too much. Do you feel the same way? Here are { Five Things Wellness } to help you cool down, unwind, and beat the heat.

{ Photo Diary } Almay’s #SimplyAmerican Tour Bus Visits Philly

This Independence Day I hopped on the Almay #SimplyAmerican tour bus for some pampering on the Parkway. I love my city. Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway turned into one of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in the country called Wawa Welcome America. The all-day extravaganza, complete with music and food, was a pretty fun way to spend the holiday despite the weather being less than stellar. Thanks to Almay I was able to take refuge from the rain and get a little makeover. Continue Reading

{ Trend Hungry Tuesday } Birkenstock Sandals Under $30

This week’s trend is perfect for the ease of summer. It’s Birkenstocks. Not familiar? The German-based shoe company known for their flat, slip-on sandals usually with one or two buckled straps and a cork bottom that slightly conforms to your foot, was big in the late 60’s and then came back into popularity in the 90’s. Now celebs are kicking it in Birkenstock sandals, making them look too cool and chic to ignore. Continue Reading
