{ Well-Dressed Man } Custom Menswear Shop Indochino To Open Philadelphia Showroom

Hey Philly peeps, custom menswear just got easy. Indochino is coming back to Philadelphia. The worldwide leader in custom-men’s apparel did a pop-up shop back in the spring of 2014 that was a huge success so they’re setting up shop at 1606 Chestnut Street in Center City. Opening Wednesday, Jan. 14th, the new showroom will be an extension of the brand’s web-based store and will offer men a face-to-face shopping experience where they’ll be assisted with measurements and customization options — including a wide range of fabrics on display, more than 30 suit customizations, and over 20 shirt customizations, including lapel width, buttons, pockets, monogramming, lining and more.

“Our pop-up experience in Philly in May 2013 was an unprecedented success and the city has since grown into one of our biggest markets,” explained Kyle Vucko, Indochino’s co-founder and CEO. “We knew it would be one of the first cities we opened a showroom in and can’t wait to be on the ground once again helping the men of Philadelphia look sharp and feel awesome.”

Last time Indochino came to town I got to cohost their opening and I’m thrilled to be teaming up with them again. Since then my man has become a fan and wears his Indochino often. A custom shirt fits drastically better and the price is comparable and totally worth it. Once he goes custom he won’t want to go back. Keep it in mind for Valentine’s Day.

The brand saves each client’s sizes, making the whole experience easy. Here’s some more info.

{ How It Works }

  • Men make an appointment at
  • Working with a Style Guide client is professionally measured before building their one-of-a-kind suit or shirt
  • Garment is crafted and delivered to the store or customers’ homes in approximately four weeks
  • Customers are invited back for a second fitting to make sure their suit or shirt fits the way it should
  • Once fit perfection has been achieved, customers may take home their finished clothing to wear with confidence — and they’ll LOVE how they look in it!

{ Trend Hungry Tuesday } Two Easy Outfits for New Year’s Eve

In less than 48 hours the ball drops and a new year begins. So the real question is, what will you be wearing to ring in 2015? I’ll make it easy for ya with these two quick outfit ideas.

{ Opt for embellishments. }

Why? Styles with sequins or beadwork, or both add the those special touches so require little accessorizing. Let the dress be the statement. Celebs opt for embellished looks all the time and know not to overwhelm the look with too much jewelry, including Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

{ Dress up your jeans. }

It’s easy, comfy, and warm — three big selling points. Keep it cool and classy by taking a cue from Kim Kardashian West and opt for all-black everything, black jeans with a black shirt and top with a blazer or leather jacket. Keep the look from feeling too casual and by adding a red lip and chandelier earrings. Hair, makeup, and accessories play a major part in glamming up your laid-back look.

{  Forever 21 Sequin Embroidered Lace Dress, $24.90 | Charlotte Russe Refuge “Hi-Waist Super Skinny” Slashed Black Jeans, $35.00 | Forever 21 Chandelier Earring,  $5.90 | Forever 21 Lace Knit Tee, $14.00 | Nicole by Nicole Miller Faux Leather Jacket, $49.99 | NYX Simply Red Cream, $6.50 }

{ Dare To Wear } One Sweater, Three Ways

The title speaks the truth. Over the last few weeks this TOMs For Target Sweater (now sold out online, check your local Target) has been put to good use. It’s been belted, layered, and even tied around my shoulders to act as an impromptu shawl. All three of these looks are stylish enough to wear to a holiday happening and this knit is so cozy that it adds a little relaxation to any look.

{ TV } Last-Minute Gifts & Tips On ‘Good Day Philadelphia’

Have you finished your holiday shopping? I  actually love waiting until the last minute so have no fear. It’s not too late and I have some great gift ideas (like, SERIOUSLY GREAT!) and got to share my present picks and gifting tips with Fox 29′s Good Day Philadelphia this AM.

{DOs & DON’Ts}

Is lingerie a good gift? How about a new perfume? This segment is for the fellas. Here are a few pointers for buying for the lady in your life.

{Blogger Gift Picks}

But wait, there’s more. An hour earlier it was a blogger Xmas. I’m at the end and product info is below.

FOX 29 News Philadelphia | WTXF-TV

{DAVIDsTEA Holiday Collections} Since working with DAVIDsTEA on their King of Prussia launch I’ve seriously become addicted. They make loose-leaf tea a fun and unintimidating experience. They also have tons of great gift ideas, including lots of holiday sets, Jingle Ball ornaments filled with tea, and my favorite mug that changes color when it gets hot. Check out my favorite gifts from DAVIDsTEA over at the Simon Style Setter Blog.

{The Body Shop Git Sets} They’ve teamed up with War Child, the global charity for children affected by war. Holiday gift sets purchased will fund classes and hopes to provide 6 million classes. One gift equals one class. I love that this brand is conscious of what they put into their products, how they’re made, and where the money goes.

{Sephora Favorites} My makeup mecca, this place has it all and unfortunately we ran out of time to show their stuff. I love how Sephora creates kits of their most-loved products. This gift allows the receiver to try on some new stuff that they may not have purchased on their own. I also love the price point of sets, as they’re usually lower in cost than what the products normally retail for.

{Gift Guide} Presents For The Prepster

Do bows, monograms, plaid, or pearls pique your interest? This gift guide is full of preppy styles and  brands, including C. Wonder, Kate Spade, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Henri Bendel. If you’re prep obsessed or are shopping for someone who is, check out these present picks. I’ve put together a list of 10 modern-and-preppy-themed gifts that are cheap and chic.

1.{C. Wonder Gold Monogram Wine Stopper, $34.00} A cute stocking stuffer for the hostess with the mostest, this would be cute to pair with #2 on the is gift list.

Take Note: Everything is currently 30% off and stores have even better deals. King of Prussia location closes Dec. 26th so everything in-store is now 50% off.

2. {C. Wonder Monogram Cheese Board with Spreader, $28.00} Monograms are classic and add a sincere touch to personalize gifts. Don’t show up to your holiday parties empty handed. Try a cheeseboard with matching spreader for the stylish hostess with the mostest.

3. {Kate Spade Seaport Pearl Studs, $48.00} So, there are pearls for bad girls and then, there are pearls for preps. These are the latter.

4. {Abercrombie & Fitch The Blanket Scarf, $38.00} Plaid print, it’s a classic. This two-toned scarf will make the receiver want to wrap up and get cozy before bracing winter weather.

5. {Henri Bendel West 57th Travel Pouch, $98.00} Made for the jet-setting prepster, this travel pouch is so luxe – it’s crafted with 100% saffiano leather!

Rihanna can add another title to her list of accomplishments. She’s now the Creative Director of Puma. Rihanna shared this big moment on social media and her outfit couldn’t have been more perfect for the occasion. She donned a white and cream sweatsuit styled with lots of jewelry, a corset top, and white Puma sneakers.

Jessica Alba has been known to rock the comfy-chic style and has paired loungewear with booties, while Jessica Simpson was spotted wearing her sweats with heels to add height to her petite frame.

{Dare To Wear} Holiday Dressing

Happy Holidays! Last night I shopped the new Century 21 Philadelphia store and snagged a few presents for myself. One of which is a new dress that came into my life just in time for this blog photo shoot and for holiday parties, talk about perfect timing. I love the fit, the print, the color, and I also kind of love it paired with the TOMs for Target sweater worn as a shawl.

I came home from the fruitful shopping trip, styled it, and headed across the street to my photog’s place. This shoot’s guest stars include her cat Tutty and an airy Christmas tree from Terrain.
