{Dare To Wear} One Sweater, Three Ways

The title speaks the truth. Over the last few weeks this TOMs For Target Sweater (now sold out online, check your local Target) has been put to good use. It’s been belted, layered, and even tied around my shoulders to act as an impromptu shawl. All three of these looks are stylish enough to wear to a holiday happening and this knit is so cozy that it adds a little relaxation to any look.

{DOs & DON’Ts}

{Blogger Gift Picks}

But wait, there’s more. An hour earlier it was a blogger Xmas. I’m at the end and product info is below.

FOX 29 News Philadelphia | WTXF-TV

{DAVIDsTEA Holiday Collections} Since working with DAVIDsTEA on their King of Prussia launch I’ve seriously become addicted. They make loose-leaf tea a fun and unintimidating experience. They also have tons of great gift ideas, including lots of holiday sets, Jingle Ball ornaments filled with tea, and my favorite mug that changes color when it gets hot. Check out my favorite gifts from DAVIDsTEA over at the Simon Style Setter Blog.

{The Body Shop Git Sets} They’ve teamed up with War Child, the global charity for children affected by war. Holiday gift sets purchased will fund classes and hopes to provide 6 million classes. One gift equals one class. I love that this brand is conscious of what they put into their products, how they’re made, and where the money goes.

{Sephora Favorites} My makeup mecca, this place has it all and unfortunately we ran out of time to show their stuff. I love how Sephora creates kits of their most-loved products. This gift allows the receiver to try on some new stuff that they may not have purchased on their own. I also love the price point of sets, as they’re usually lower in cost than what the products normally retail for.

2. {C. Wonder Monogram Cheese Board with Spreader, $28.00} Monograms are classic and add a sincere touch to personalize gifts. Don’t show up to your holiday parties empty handed. Try a cheeseboard with matching spreader for the stylish hostess with the mostest.

{Trend Hungry Tuesday} Styled Sweats

Rihanna can add another title to her list of accomplishments. She’s now the Creative Director of Puma. Rihanna shared this big moment on social media and her outfit couldn’t have been more perfect for the occasion. She donned a white and cream sweatsuit styled with lots of jewelry, a corset top, and white Puma sneakers.

Jessica Alba has been known to rock the comfy-chic style and has paired loungewear with booties, while Jessica Simpson was spotted wearing her sweats with heels to add height to her petite frame.

This trend comes down to the styling, so layer on the necklaces, do your makeup to keep sweats from looking like you’re bumming around, or try a boot or heel. As for snag this trend on a budget, there are lots of affordable options. I’m loving this pair of stylish sweats from Target. They’re around $25, but use the code JOY30 for 30% off, but hurry as the discount ends tonight. Here’s more stylish sweats, all under $25.

How do you style your sweats? Share your take in the comments below.

Dare to Wear, Fashion, My Style

{Dare To Wear} Holiday Dressing

Happy Holidays! Last night I shopped the new Century 21 Philadelphia store and snagged a few presents for myself. One of which is a new dress that came into my life just in time for this blog photo shoot and for holiday parties, talk about perfect timing. I love the fit, the print, the color, and I also kind of love it paired with the TOMs for Target sweater worn as a shawl.

I came home from the fruitful shopping trip, styled it, and headed across the street to my photog’s place. This shoot’s guest stars include her cat Tutty and an airy Christmas tree from Terrain.

{Video} Simon Spreads Love

The holidays aren’t really all about buying things, though sometimes it can feel that way. It’s about spreading love. That’s the whole reason why we get into the gift-giving swing of things. Simon Malls decided to do just that.

Watch this video and remember to pay forward a little cheer and not just around the holidays. Giving is the greatest gift in life.

{Gift Guide} Stocking Stuffers Under $30

Get ready to get gifting. I’ve scoured the internet for some of my personal present picks to recommend. These items make great girlfriend gifts, nothing is over $30, and they’re small enough to fit in a stocking. The prices get lower as you scroll. Treat yourself, someone on your list, or simply share this link so others will know what to get you without breaking the bank.

{Ban.do Back Me Up Mobile Charger, $30.00} Everything ban.do sells I instantly fall in love with based on the cute factor alone. For a split second I want everything and then catch my breath. This charger though, it’s fashion and function. My iPhone is always going dead and a charger with some character would be worth remembering to keep in tow.

{Dogeared Midi Love Sparkle Ring, $22.00} Let this sterling silver ring be a little reminder to the recipient that love is at their fingertips. Prefer gold? For $2 more there’s a version that’s dipped in 14 karat gold.

{The Body Shop Mini Brush Set, $19.00} Most of my makeup brushes are from The Body Shop. They hold up well and don’t shed like most brushes. They’re also cruelty free and this set is small enough to throw in your bag for primping on the go.

{Blinc Mascara Duo, $18.00} I got turned on to Blinc after asking one of the experts at Sephora for mascara that won’t flake and leave me with dark circles. Blinc’s formula tubes each lash and stays put better than many mascaras. The travel size is under $20 and comes with the primer so that product will work its best.

{Essie 2014 Holiday Kit, $15.00} This kit includes five mini nail polishes in Essie’s 2014 holiday shades. As Beauty.com reads, there’s “Mademoiselle (the most classic grown-up pink), Smokin’ Hot (stone-cold fox gray) Butler Please (indulgent bright blue) Bahama Mama (warm, rich, creamy deep plum), and Jazzy Jubilant (chromatic confetti-like glitter.”

{Charmsies Iron-In Star Shaped Hair Charms, $12.00} I’ve never seen a hair accessory quite like Charmsies. Simply use your flat iron to design the design to your hair.  Expect lots of compliments. They look so cool on and people take notice.  My friends at Nich Boutique carry them as does Nordstrom.

{Bite Beauty Mix N’ Mingle Lip Minis, $12.00} After reading all the rave reviews I may have to treat myself to this gift too. Color is long lasting and product won’t dry out that pretty pout.

{Head Massager, $6.00} Some people absolutely LOVE these things. I am not one of those people but I can name a few people that I know would love to receive this and you may too.

Keep checking back for more budget-friendly gifts picks! Like to DIY it? Try a Sharpie Mug for a personalized present.

The Perfect Present For The Chic Canine

Pet collars so adorable  you’ll wish they were made for humans, or that you at least have a dog to spoil and style  – got a dog lover or perhaps a pretty pooch on your gift list? BaubleBar’s current guest bartender “bark”tender is furry and has fabulous taste. It’s Jiff, a famous pomeranian, and more importantly, the collars in the collection are super swoonworthy and made to look like fashion jewelry. There’s a collar designed to look like a pearl-and-chain choker necklace, and others with crystals and glitter. The line has collars for small, medium, and large dogs with prices under $50.

The furry fashionistas modeling the styles certainly add to the cute factor.

{BaubleBar Pearl Pet Collar, $44.00 | BaubleBar Diva Pet Collar, $48.00 | BaubleBar Seer Pet Collar, $48.00}

{BaubleBar Mod Pet Collar, $38.00}

Scroll through the showroom to see more.

Like the styles? Comment below and share your favorite. Personally the Seer style caught my eye and I so would not mind owning it in a bracelet form.

{Pin It} Quotes

Pinterest and I have a special relationship. It inspires me on so many levels – fashion, food, beauty, decor, and even well being. I’m a sucker for a good quote and it’s usually where I find them. I post them on Instagram, send to friends, and even quote pins in conversation. Just last night I scrolled though my quotes board and so many good feeling came over me. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite inspiring quote pins. Hope they add a lithe more sunshine to your day. Pin now, read again later.

{Trend Hungry Tuesday} White-Hot Winter

It looks like it’s going to be one white-hot winter. A number of celebrities have been seen rocking white outfits lately.

Nicole Kidman wore a white dress on the January cover of Elle. Ariana Grande opted for a white pencil skirt with a crop top  for her recent performance at the Disney Christmas Parade Taping. Taylor Swift also if loving the white-hot trend and was spotted in a long, all-white dress for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Party. And Solange Knowles, she too stepped out in an all-white outfit just this past weekend.

So why are stars opting for white well after Labor Day? Because white works. It’s versatile, chic, and never really goes out of style. It also has a way of making you look tanner.

Make a statement this holiday season with a little white dress. Pair with black tights and booties if you feel like it needs a little winterizing. I love this fit and flare style. It’s on sale, complements the figure, and has texture details that makes it feel more winter appropriate.

{Shop It} Apt. 9® Jacquard Fit & Flare Dress, $50.00 $24.99 at Kohl’s | Natasha Couture Box Clutch, $38.00 at Nordstrom |  Bea Box Pleat Midi Length Scuba Skater Skirt, $26.00 at Boohoo
