Get your binoculars and let’s go bird watching. Trend ALERT!! Lady GaGa and Julianne Moore have been spotted wearing feathers.
Poor Moore (pictured above) – some people had the nerve to give this outfit a bad review. I highly disagree, but maybe that’s a bit overboard for the rest of us in everyday life. Instead flap feather accessories. After all, accessories are the best way to rock a trend without getting fined by the fashion police. Oh, and P.S. you’ll get way more wear out of a feathered accessory than a feather-filled outfit, which equals more bang for your buck.
Here’s the goodies to satisfy your stylish cravings on a skinny budget.
Collar
If you like the picture above and think you can pull it off, here’s a collar that’s surely way cheaper than Moore’s. It’s $48.00 and is available at Urban Outfitters Web site. For those of us more tame, read on.
Clutch
This little bag covers a few trends – velvet, feathers, and casual/dressy evening bags. It’s very chic to wear a bag like this with jeans and a tee shirt, or a dressier outfit. That means you can get lots of wear out of this little item.
Details: Silence & Noise Feather Velvet Clutch, Urban Outfitters, $38.00.
Earrings
These earrings are so romantic. The feathers add whimsy. How good would these look with a LBD!?!
Details: Fan Feather and Chail Dangle Earrings, Charlotte Russe, $6.50.
Hat
This hat is very Boardwalk Empire. With this piece you’ve got 1920’s flare with a touch of feather and bling. L-O-V-E!
Details: Cloche Feather and Jeweled Hat, Charlotte Russe,$16.50.
