{ Local Love } Evil Eye Bracelets by Moira Anne Artisan

I spy with my little eye… more eyes! Evil eyes, to be exact.

One of the perks of being a blogger/reporter/stylist is discovering cool stuff — whether it’s charms for your hair, a new diffusion line, or in this case, a boho-chic jewelry brand with style and meaning. I recently found out about a fabulous local line Moira Anne Artisan by Moira Rubino, and since receiving a couple bracelets they haven’t left my wrist (except for showering). They’ve also been snagging SO MANY compliments so I thought I better give this girl a shoutout and tell you a little more about her good-vibes line.  Continue reading…

{ Steal Of The Week } Prom Shoes Aren’t Just For High Schoolers

On Friday I chatted prom fashion on Fox29 (and Vivica Fox was guest hosting!!). Saturday came and I hosted Lord & Taylor’s prom fashion show (so much fun!!). Now it’s Sunday and I’m window shopping prom styles, shoes specifically. Is there a prom coming up for me? No, but that’s no reason not to want to dress up. Now, I know a ball gown won’t fit in with most people’s lifestyle (nor is it my style), but a great pair of party pumps never fail to add glamour to even jeans and a tee. Let’s skip the dresses and head straight to the fabulous footwear. Here are some special shoes fit for prom, a swanky soirée, or just chilling … and they’re all on sale.

LifeSTYLE Tip: Wear special pieces on the regular to make everyday special.

{ Photo Diary } Inside Jewelry Designer Marlyn Schiff’s Showroom

I love jewelry and lately you may have noticed that Marlyn Schiff pieces have been making cameos here on the blog and my Instagram. It probably has to do the fact that everything is beautiful, budget friendly, and that I had the pleasure of meeting Marlyn and visiting her Ardmore showroom last month. I had featured a few blingy baubles from the celebrity-loved line in TV segments and blog posts so it was exciting to finally get to learn more about the brand and meet the creator.

First of all, it’s a wonderland of pretty things. There’s jewelry everywhere, of course, and the vibe is a little boho and free spirited yet glamorous and fashionable. There’s dainty cuffs and chain necklaces, blingy statement pieces, stunning stones, and most pieces are under $100.  I felt inspired to take it all in, try on a few pieces, and go a little snap happy. Here are some pictures from my visit. Hope you like! I’ll be sharing more pictures of places I go and things I do with the header { Photo Diary }. Continue reading…

Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen Create Cosmic Jewelry Under $40

If you’re a fan of Elizabeth and James jewelry get excited. Our favorite fashion twins and CFDA designers, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen have an affordable line worth adding to your Christmas list.

AMK x SM is a limited -edition jewelry collection for StyleMint. The out-of-this-world designs are inspired by constellations — hence the names Ursa Major, Hydra, Pyxis, and so on. The line really resembles the Olsens’ Elizabeth and James jewelry line. Both collections are simplistic and have a gorgeous cosmic theme. The main difference being the price — Elizabeth and James ranges from $95 – $395, whereas everything in the AMK x SM collection is either $29.99 or $39.99.

The accessories in their latest collection have a luxe feel, but all are extremely affordable, especially when you compare to one of their bags from The Row. Get ready to indulge and don’t wait, as past StyleMint jewelry collabs have sold out.

AMK x SM includes necklaces, earrings, rings, clutches, bangles, hand chains, and clutches. The collection is part of StyleMint’s limited-edition Studio Series, so you may not want to wait.

Another plus, the Olsens said they created “versatile pieces that transition easily from day to night”…can you say “Dare to Wear” worthy?

Style Tip: Because these accessories are minimalistic and dainty, it’s easy to stack and layer pieces. Pair jewelry with Flash Tattoos for a boho-chic look that not everyone will be sporting this holiday season.

{Trend Hungry Tuesday} Choker Necklaces

Another 90’s trend is back on the block. Choker necklaces, yeah they’re back. Rihanna has been wearing them a lot lately, including last night at the 2014 British Fashion Awards. She rocked a silver-sparkler choker paired with a Stella McCartney tuxedo blazer and not much else. Riri in Stella is always captivating.

Back to chokers, this trend has actually been around for a while. Google history of choker necklaces and there are images from centuries ago.

Celebs spotted wearing choker necklaces in this day in age include Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus.

As for chokers on the cheap, you can go bold and blingy for the holidays or try a tattooed style. You may have owned one in the 90s, I know I did. Check out the choker selection at

{Trend Hungry Tuesday} Rihanna’s Handy Accessory

By now you probably know, Rihanna has come back to Instagram. And what is she posting about? Her upcoming spread in Elle magazine’s December issue. It’s sounding like her interview drops some secrets, but the fashion is on full display. So what’s the one trend she rocked that caught our eye? The hand piece, also known as a hand chain. It’s a bracelet with a ring attached, creating a style statement on your hand.

A number of celebs have been spotted wearing this handy accessory, including Vanessa Hudgens, Anne Hathaway, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys. And of course, this is one trend that doesn’t make you break the bank. There are a slew of budget-friendly hand pieces on the market ( around $10 or under!) from Lauren Conrad’s line at Kohl’s.

Brimmed Hats So Cute You’ll Wish For A Bad-Hair Day

Hats! Hats! HATS! I tend to write these blog posts after downing an organic coffee doused with Sugar In The Raw and skim milk. And I tend to write about items I’m craving at the moment, hence the excitement.

A couple weeks ago I got to hang out with some UK bloggers and guide them around King of Prussia Mall and talk fashion (I love my job!) and one thing’s for sure, these ladies know how to pull off  a brimmed hat with ease. I too want that effortlessly-cool style.

Got to lunch and shop with these lovely UK ladies today! Follow @shewearsfashion (I’m wearing her hat!) & @clothes_maiden!! @kop_mall #phillystyle #fashionbloggers

Fall can mean windy weather messing with your mane or simply being too chilly in the morning to spring out of bed to tame your tresses. The quick fix, a hat, darling!  Hats require no time, no hairstyling skills, and bonus, many keep your head warm — all wins in my book.

You know what I decided to do? Online window shop to find the best hats for fall under $40. Why spend more when you don’t have to?
