Beyonce’s Blog & 5 Celebs We Wish Had Fashion Blogs

Beyonce's Fashion Blog

By Kelsey

Wouldn’t it be nice if some of Hollywood’s best dressed lent their expertise to us on a daily basis? In a dream world I would open an iPhone app every morning to fashion blogs personally written by some of my favorite dressed celebrities. Beyonce’s blog wets our palette for celeb style, and here are five more we’d like to see more fashion from.

From edgy , classic , everyday and crazy I’d pick my mood and read my blog. Yes, in a perfect world everyday would be a fashion show and it would be easy to know what exactly was going through the mind of my favorite celeb when they stepped out of the house. Since this is probably a far off dream, let’s pretend! Here are some of my dream bloggers.

1.Lauren ConradLauren Conrad is one of my favorite designers. Making fashion look effortless I absolutely love her desire for floral print. She gives  off a old fashion glam look while still looking up to date and lovely. She may have a beauty blog ( and blog on, but I want to see her style daily… and maybe copy it.

2. Katy PerryFeeling crazy? Then rock the blue hair and dramatic lashes! Katy Perry teaches us that you’re never too old to have fun with fashion. You can make a statement every day; don’t be afraid to take a risk.

3. Blake Lively is always on top of new trends. As fashionable as the character she plays on tv, she looks chic in every day clothes and in formal wear.  Known for a sleek and stylish look Blake always rocks top designer looks. Get her look! Continue reading…

SRS: Hit The Sale Rack With StyledOutLoud

srs styledoutloud

Hello there, Trend Hungry readers! My name is Mecca Nuri – a Philadelphia wardrobe stylist and blog owner of StyledOutLoud. I just want to thank Jessie for granting me the opportunity to share with you my sale-shopping strategies as well as my favorite sale items of right now!

I am usually not an online shopper; I tend to stick to the good old fashioned in-store experience. However for sale purposes I have been checking out the virtual racks. What stores are on my radar, you ask? As of lately I enjoy ASOS, JC Penney and Urban Outfitters. Here are a few sale-shopping strategies I go by when making purchases, be it online or in-store:

  • DO know your budget. Prior to your shopping experience, make sure that you come up with a budget for your sale shopping and stick to it.
  • DON’T get sale/clearance happy. Sometimes we find so many awesome items that are marked down and naturally, we get excited. Remember that you have a budget so try to make sensible purchases.
  • DO look for student discounts. Not a student? Then see how else you can save by using coupon code websites such as Continue reading…

5 Style Lessons On How To Wear Polka Dots From Taylor Swift

Screen Shot 2013-01-29 at 1.29.54 AM

By Brooke

They’re fun, flirty, and a chronic obsession for Taylor Swift! Polka Dots- a long-lived trend that has been passed down from generation to generation. Snapbacks & Tattoos put snapbacks back on the map, Nelly’s Air Force Ones reminded everyone to get their shoe game together, and Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ got ladies thinking about the summer. Fashionistas have been rockin’ polka dots dating all the way back to the ’60s (work it ladies!)

Today, this classic trend works great with beachwear, nightlife, and everyday living. If I had to make one assumption,  I’d say T Swift is completely enthralled with this trend- check her out in the latest ad for Keds!  That being said, let’s take a peek into how to successfully rock polka dots like the expert herself, Ms. Harry Styles (whoops, I mean T. Swift). Continue reading…

Philly FABB Gets Zen

L to R: Natalie of The Second Best Blog, Jade of Style Wallflower, Melissa of Ring The Alam, Jessie (me!) of Trend Hungry & Philly FABB Founder, Lauren of The Style Darling & Philly FABB Founder

It’s still January. Therefore, it’s still timely to talk about it being a new year. New year means new goals and giving that mind and body some TLC are on my list for a crafting up a fabulous 2013. So,  me and some of my Philly FABB members got together this weekend at the private event Bend Into Your Blogging Zen. What’s that mean? It means we escaped from our stresses of blogging (yes, this job of joy does, at times, cause a little of stress) and nourished our minds and bodies with yoga, a healthy spread of food, and a good time of bloggers uniting.

The Rundown

Yoga: Philly Power Yoga. Their great space is perfect for working up a sweat while taking a break from life. Our practice was less sweaty than their usual and was the perfect speed for a relaxing Sunday!

Food: Fuel. So healthy and delish! It literally fueled me up after our workout. We got to snack on wraps, the most tasty salad I’ve ever had, and they even provided fresh orange & pineapple juice. The pineapple was so good that I took an extra home and my boyfriend finished it in like 30 seconds. We’ll likely be grabbing lunch there this week, as I’m not addicted!

The Goods: Each Blogger left with jewelry from Empowered by Jen Groover, handmade soaps from Andre Richard Salon, beverages from Bai, a card for two free yoga sessions for you and a friend at Philly Power Yoga, and a free introductory private pilates session at Thrive Pilates.

Bloggers: If you’re based in the Greater Philly area, email me at for consideration. Philly FABB is a network for the fashion & beauty blogging elite. FABB exclusive events are invitation only.

Special thanks to all of our sponsors! Without you, this event wouldn’t have been possible!!

Trend Bite: How To Spruce Up An Old Sweater

It’s literally been too cold out to do anything, anything I say! All I want to do is watch Netflix and eat some homemade veggie soup ( yes, I cook, as long as it’s easy and quick). Soup, my Keurig, and our little space heater my boyfriend’s mom got us are my current best friends. But, since I can’t always stay inside I turn to my slew of favorite sweaters. A number of them were snagged at a clothes swap, so they’ve been around the block a bit. So, I turn to this handy-handy trick to smooth off the little fuzzes from wearing.

The Sale-Rack Skinny: The Skinny Blonde Girl

Hey, fabulous Trend Hungry readers! It’s Katelyn here from, a blog that offers a chic Canadian perspective on personal style, makeup, beauty, and just about everything in between. I’m so honored to be posting today on Trend Hungry and am very excited to share with you some online shopping advice and the latest deals I’ve scoped out on my favorite shopping sites.

the sale rack skinny

When I’m shopping online, I always hit up the sale and clearance sections first. While shopping in store is fun, I love that I can grab my favorite trends without breaking the bank and without leaving my couch. I usually stick to neutrals because A) I have a weakness for anything black and white and B) they’re way less likely to go out of style within the next few seasons. Continue reading…

Trendy vs Spendy: Leather Snapbacks

By Brooke

Teleport back to a time when the only thing people wore were leather jackets, leather pants, leather everything. Fast forward to 2013 and history is starting to repeat itself. Leather snapbacks…who doesn’t love them! But let’s be honest ladies- you hear “snapbacks” and automatically think “for the fellas”. I thought the same exact thing until fashionistas Kat GrahamRihanna, and Brandy brought life back to this trend. Continue reading…

5 Style Lessons from Fifth Harmony

By Brooke

Confession: It’s human nature to naturally be jealous of each another, but it’s most taxing when the envy is towards someone a lot younger, isn’t it? Now that I’ve let all my emotions out on the table, I need everyone to know about five amazing ladies that make up the group Fifth Harmony. Other than the unexpected recent reunion of Destiny’s Child, there hasn’t been a girl group on our radar in years! Similar to groups in the past, Fifth Harmony encompasses talent, attitude and of course FASHION. Each member has their own unique personality and style that is tied together by the chemistry of the group. Fifth Harmony’s style is fun, modern and young. Even though each lady has their own fashion voice, their collective look is kept consistent with a common denominator.

Let’s take a peek at my favorite looks from Fifth Harmony.

Greyscale: Grey is a color that’s in the same family as your whites, blacks and navys. With so much versatility, grey is great because it compliments other basic colors and pastels. From summer to winter, a grey sun dress goes great with a pastel sun hat and bathing suit or rock a white shirt and navy blazer with grey wide leg pants. And of course, let’s not forget about your night on the town- a grey sequined or sparkled dress is perfect for any city girl. Continue reading…
