Trendin: ‘Jersey Shore’ Tan in a Can

Are you wishing you looked more orange? Do you admire the glow of the cast of Jersey Shore? Are you wishing there was a product out there specifically designed to give you a guidette glow?!?! Yeah, Pauly D. is riding the fame train and will be coming out with a self tanner.

I thought the thing we didn’t want was that orangey shade on faux glow. Now, that’s a selling point?!?!

He’s partnering with Devoted Creations. No news on names or prices, but it’s supposed to be highend. I’m not really seeing this fit in high-end stores, but we’ll see…

Fall is for real my fave season. I love the September issue of every mag, the layered look, and all the new tv shows!!! There are so many on my TiVo, if I had TiVo, but I don’t so I have watch when they’re on, on demand,  or online.  A major reason I love the shows are for the styles and my newest inspiration comes from ABC’s PAN AM. It’s all about the sexy style on the stewardesses of the airline in the early ’60s. They make blue look good and this color is now everywhere.

Mark my words, this is going to do for blue what Mad Men did for red lips. Doesn’t Christina Ricci look fabulous!?!

My PAN-AM blue of choice? These pumps via Forever 21.

Sale-Rack Report: Versatile Tweed

Tweed screams fall, but sometimes it screams a little too loud and takes away from other fab pieces you chose to pair it with. This is not that kind of tweed. This is the kind that looks office chic and goes with practically anything. This is the kind of tweed that you’ll never get rid of, because it’s timeless.

This is the tweed skirt that will get you through the fall, winter and a touch of spring. This is the tweed skirt that feels fresh and is only around $25!

This is the part of my blog post where I shamelessly promote Trend Hungry’s social media outlets. Here goes – @trendhungryblog on Twitter and LIKE Trend Hungry on Facebook.

Trendin: Starbucks + Alexander Wang Coffee-Stained Shirt?

I just made an executive decision. Instead of calling posts that are all about fashion news – Buzzin, they will now be called Trendin. I probably should have called them that from the beginning, hence the name Trend Hungry, but I just now decided it, so let’s roll with the punches.

Fashion and coffee seem to go together. Many fashionistas, such as the Olsen twins, can be spotted with jumbo cups in hand from Starbucks. That with big sunnies, a fashion DO. But an $85.00 coffee-stained shirt by Alexander Wang for Starbucks turning the big 4-0!?!?

It’s Unisex, but in my opinion, will block you from ever getting to have sex. Thoughts? No one gets excited by spilled coffee.

Black & Brown – New Fashion DO!!

Wearing black shoes? Better not pair that with a brown bag. It’s one of the oldest DON’Ts, but now black and brown together are a total DO! Yeah, this is for real. Companies are even pairing the two on one garment. Here’s a dress to prove my point.

Pair with black tights and shoes or opt for brown. It’s up to you and both are a fashion do. Wear a brown top with those black jeans in your closet and wear with confidence. It’s trending!!

butter London – No More Waity Katie

Today at 4pm I’ll be on WBRE’s PA Live talking nail trends, and it’s way beyond colors.

So many nail polishes, so little time. One brand I currently loving is butter London. They’re “3 free” meaning they’re made without Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde and Toluene.

Lots of other brands are 3 free, but butter London happens to be my current favorite.

My current color crush? No More Waity Katie. It’s named after Kate Middleton and the color is simply amazing. You like?

They’re $14.00 a bottle. It’s a little pricy, I know. But the way I think of it is if you buy it, your saving money by doing the mani and pedi yourself.

Wired: NYFW Celeb Style

Was lucky enough to attend New York Fashion Week thanks to Neuro Drink. The runway styles were excellent, but what I loved even more were the audience members – aka Bravolebrities, Jerseylicious divas, Jersey Shore goers, and the Kardashians minus Khloe. (many pics coming very soon!!!!)

The youngest Kardashian modeled for Avril Lavigne’s line Abbey Dawn. It was Kylie’s modeling debut and sis Kendell was there for the rehearsals. Then came Kim & Kris Humphries, and Kourtney came in minutes later. People swarmed. I complimented them so they would turn for a picture. And I noticed that they all matched.

The family was decked out in classic black and white. The other thing I noticed was Kim’s ballerina bun – a trend that shows off your face. It’s so easy to ear, but not always so easy to create the look. Which leads me to my new favorite thing – the Goody Spin Pin.Ever since the cute commercials for the spin pin debuted last year I’ve been eager to try it. The results? An amazing bun sans hair tied and done in seconds. Yeah, seconds!

Tag: Around $7.00 at various pharmacies.

Take Note: It comes in different colors for different hair colors. Also, it really works for thick hair, like my mop of hair!
