Own a vest? They have a way of going with tons of types of styles and the right vest can be the perfect finishing touch to your look. Over the last few weeks I’ve put my new vest to good use — with a dress, paired with a skirt, and even with ripped knees. Check out the looks and tell me your favorite by leaving a comment. Award show season tends to bring out the bling, but it really stole the style spotlight at the 87th Academy Awards. From big earrings, to statement necklaces, stars shined bright like diamonds in jewels at the 2015 Oscars.
Lupita Nyong’o’s whole outfit was like jewelry. The Calvin Klein creation made of 6,000 pearls wowed on the red carpet and fit her like a glove.
Hollywood’s finest stepped out dressed to impress (and some didn’t) for the 87th Academy Awards. As I watched from home last night a few dresses had me flip flopping. One second I wasn’t a fan, and a minute later I was moving the style to my best-dressed list. This morning I joined Fox29′s Good Day Philadelphia to chat about the Oscar fashions. It’s always a good day when I get to visit Good Day (corny, but true). Here are my top five fashion favorites from the 2015 Oscars.
Last week’s steal sure made me crave spring. With more cold days on the horizon I’m looking for on-sale designer accessories that can be put to use right now and many days to come. I love to add a little designer accent here and there to upgrade my look but tend to wait until items go on sale. It’s the budget babe in me that loves a good deal.
It’s week three for this vest in my style rotation and I gotta say that I’m SO glad I bought it. So far it’s dressed up ripped moto pants, toned down the dose of pink poise in last week’s Valentine look, and now it’s adding an extra layer of warmth to this bodycon dress. You know the drill, style tips and outfit pics below.
Are you so ready to skip the rest of winter and go straight to spring? There’s still some very cold days ahead where I am on the East Coast, but that doesn’t mean spring styles have to wait. Don’t go busting out bare legs yet, unless you’re lucky enough to be in a warm climate ( so jealous!), but do start sprinkling in springtime styles into your winter wardrobe. Here are my top four trends for spring that you can start wearing right away. Cause who can wait, right?!
Hey, it was just Valentine’s Day. Did you treat yourself to anything? The greatest relationship is with yourself so don’t forget to show yourself some love and if it’s on sale, even better.
One of my favorite trends for spring is colored leather. It’s going to be BIG. It was on the runways and is already popping up in stores. Real or faux, whatever way you decide to go, color is in. Personally I’m loving pastel hues. It looks so fresh with the all-black outfits I’ve been gravitating towards lately and pastels have a way of going with so much.
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I’m getting in the season of love with a little pink, red, and love-themed jewelry. This light shade of pink on the blouse is one of my favorite colors and reminds me of delicate beauty — think ballet slippers or a baby’s room. Now that I think of it, this is the color of my room back at my parent’s house. No wonder I’m so drawn to it.
Want to rock a Grammy fashion trend this Valentine’s Day? Here’s one to try that’s subtly sexy. It’s called peekaboo chic and it’s a playful way to show some skin. It’s also a trend that a whole lot of famous fashionistas rocked on the red carpet in different ways.
Miley Cyrus, Iggy Azalea, and Ariana Grande all donned dresses with cutouts a the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Here’s a picture Miley Instagrammed of her and Katy Perry, who is also playing up with peekaboo trend. Her embellished dress has a subtle sheerness to it, making it sexy without showing too much.
